The Legal Profession Board of Tasmania is the independent body responsible for receiving and investigating complaints about the conduct of lawyers in Tasmania.
People often retain a lawyer during significant life events – for a will, a divorce, buying a home or business, or because they have been injured or are facing criminal charges. It is important to have a good working relationship with your lawyer, but what if you are unhappy with your lawyer? Perhaps they are not answering your questions or you think they don’t understand your problem. The Board has officers who can provide practical advice on working with your lawyer, and what to do if the relationship is broken down.
Individual telephone appointments are available with our experienced officers.
