Community Legal Centres Tasmania

Community Legal Centres Tasmania Inc. (CLC Tas) is the peak body Community Legal Centres (CLCs) in Tasmania.
It is a member based, independent, not-for-profit and incorporated organisation that advocates for law reform on a range of public interest matters aimed at improving access to justice, reducing discrimination and protecting and promoting human rights.
CLCs are resourced by a part-time policy officer who is funded by the Tasmanian Government and the Solicitors’ Guarantee Fund.
CLC Tas itself does not provide legal advice to members of the public. The office is able to assist those seeking legal advice by referrals to an appropriate legal service provider.
